The Stonewall Group expands into Delaware with acquisition of Architectural Alliance

The Stonewall Group, an architecture and engineering investment and operating platform based in the USA, has acquired Architectural Alliance, establishing a foothold in Delaware and further strengthening its presence across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.

Based in Wilmington, Delaware, with an additional office in Exton, Pennsylvania, Architectural Alliance was founded in 1987 and has developed a portfolio spanning commercial, residential, institutional, historic, and adaptive reuse projects. The firm is known for its collaborative, client-focused design approach and has worked with developers, municipalities, institutions, and private clients across the Mid-Atlantic.

Under the terms of the agreement, Architectural Alliance will continue to operate under its existing brand and leadership structure. Kevin Wilson, AIA, Principal and studio co-founder, said the partnership provides investment and operational support while enabling the firm to maintain its established mission and culture. Ben Moody, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Stonewall Group, described Architectural Alliance as aligned with the platform’s focus on strong leadership, project delivery, and service culture.

“Joining The Stonewall Group opens a powerful new chapter for our firm. Their investment and operational support allow us to enhance our capabilities while staying true to our long-standing mission and culture.” - Kevin Wilson, Co-founder, Architectural Alliance

Headquartered in Lafayette, Louisiana, The Stonewall Group acquires, invests in, and operates architecture firms across the United States. The addition of Architectural Alliance expands its capabilities in urban infill, historic restoration, mixed-use development, institutional design, and residential architecture. The platform provides strategic and operational resources intended to support growth while preserving firm identity.

The Delaware acquisition follows a series of transactions by The Stonewall Group over the past year, reflecting continued consolidation within the architecture and engineering sector.

In January 2026, the company acquired ADG Architecture, LLC, a Florida–based practice founded in 1990. ADG Architecture’s portfolio includes civic, educational, commercial, hospitality, and faith-based projects. Bob Taylor continues to lead the firm from its Florida headquarters.

Earlier, in September 2025, Stonewall announced its partnership with AMDG Architects, headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan. AMDG provides architecture and interior design services across education, workplace, civic, worship, and residential markets. That deal marked the firm’s sixth partnership and contributed to its expanding national platform.

Collectively, the recent acquisitions underline The Stonewall Group’s strategy of building a geographically diverse network of architecture studios across key US markets, while retaining local leadership and brand continuity within its partner firms.
