Samsung C&T projects secure multiple wins at Asia Design Prize 2026

Three residential developments delivered by Samsung C&T’s Engineering & Construction (E&C) Group, along with the Raemian Gallery, have collectively received seven Winner awards at the 2026 Asia Design Prize, underscoring the firm’s continued focus on spatial, architectural and experiential design.

The recognitions span both Spatial & Architecture and Communication categories at the Asia Design Prize, which this year selected winners from more than 1,500 entries submitted across 31 countries. Projects were assessed on aesthetics, originality and practicality across spatial, industrial and communication design fields.

Spatial & architecture: Landscape integration and formal coherence

Among the awarded projects, Raemian One Perla received three Winner distinctions within a single complex, reflecting integrated design across landscape, exterior architecture and programmed spaces.

One of the recognised features is the “Wind Library Garden,” a book café incorporating cha-gyeong, a traditional Korean landscape technique that frames surrounding scenery as part of the garden composition. By visually extending the site into its natural context, the space connects interior programming with curated outdoor views.

Another awarded element, the “Green Art Gallery Garden,” introduces media glass installations that activate the landscape after dark. The combination of planting design and digital media establishes a layered spatial experience, merging environmental design with technological intervention. The complex’s exterior was also recognised for geometric unity, highlighting consistency across massing and façade articulation.

Raemian One Pentas was honored for an exterior concept inspired by reflections of light on the Han River. The façade deploys organic linear forms to interpret the fluid movement of water, translating a natural phenomenon into architectural language through surface treatment and volumetric rhythm.

At Jamsil Raemian I’Park, two landscape components were distinguished. The Blue Forest Garden is structured to offer panoramic views from four distinct vantage points within the complex, organizing circulation and open space around framed sightlines. The Blue Wave Playground, drawing from wave patterns and flowing water, applies curved geometries to recreational design, integrating thematic continuity into communal areas.

Communication design: Extending residential identity beyond built form

In the Communication category, the Raemian Gallery received recognition for its interactive experiential content. The project demonstrates how residential branding can extend beyond physical development into immersive engagement environments, using curated content and spatial storytelling to communicate architectural identity.

Sixth consecutive year of win

With these results, Samsung C&T’s E&C Group records its sixth consecutive year of recognition at the Asia Design Prize. According to Sang-guk Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of the Housing Development Business Division, the awards reflect international acknowledgment of Raemian’s design competitiveness across residential architecture, landscaping and gallery experiences.
